The key to a successful event is a well thought out marketing plan in order to ensure a sold out meeting. Here are a few ideas for marketing your next event.

Social Influencers

Identify local celebrities, community members, or brand enthusiasts who are active on social media. Tap into their network of friends by having them market your event. Have social influencers spread the word about your event through a variety of methods. The people who are social media all-stars can post about early registration, discount codes, and periodic updates about excitement leading up to the event.

Advertise Speakers

Attendees want to know that they will have a high return on investment from attending your meeting. Advertise the key note speakers and breakout sessions as early as possible. This will allow attendees to know about the content of the conference as well as generate buzz around the keynote speaker.

Video Testimonials

Have previous event attendees publish video testimonials from their experience at past meetings. You could also host Facebook Live videos as an informal Q & A about the meeting. Provide question and answers around what were key takeaways from previous meetings, what to expect for the coming year, and cost saving ideas such as sharing rooms at hotels or discounted shuttle information from the airport.
